Our Kale & Quinoa burgers are healthy as they are convenient and taste even better with the perfect topping. So we’ve done a bit of research, ate a lot of burgers and put together a list of our favourite burger toppings for you to try at home!
1) Pickled Carrot & Sriracha Mayo
- 2 carrots, coarsely shredded
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sriracha hot chilli sauce
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1/2 lime
3) Beetroot Hummus
- 200g of chickpeas
- 125g cooked beetroot
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- Juice 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
1. Pickled Carrot & Sriracha Mayo
Place the shredded carrot into a bowl and add cider vinegar, salt and sugar to mix. Then leave to pickle for 20 mins. For the sriracha mayo, whisk together the mayonnaise and sriracha hot chilli sauce in a bowl, then add the pickled carrots.
Scoop out the avocado, slice and put into a bowl. Then add the chopped onion, tomato and mash together. Finish with a squeeze of lime.
3. Beetroot Hummus
Place all of the ingredients into a bowl and blend.
